About
THE PROJECT

This outstanding symbolic landmark won a design competition in 2010. The architectural Intellectual dialogue is what distinguished this project, and the originality of the urban formation, which covers the cultural and functional aspects, carrying the present standards and the rich heritage history of the place in order to create a contemporary concept linking traditional and cultural values of Al-Diriyah.

The design integrates two rectangular buildings; one is facing the Hay Turaif and is orientated towards the Qiblah, while the other overlooks the main street. The triangular openings on the facades allow the natural sunlight to penetrate the building giving the interiors a more spacious and brighter feel, and offering a contemporary sense that respects the traditional of the place.
