The idea was inspired from the Sharjah Heritage of law practice in the region, where the social and religious dimensions are linked to the everyday life activities, and offers new insights and distinctiveness to such governmental buildings while maintaining authenticity and prestige. The design won second place in the international competition, where the design presented a new vision for the functional distribution between different parts of the court specially the court halls. This unique 27,500m² building provides a new vision of contemporary design for courthouses, bringing responsiveness to the social and cultural aspects of such building, making it a civilized phenomenon amid the surrounding buildings in the heart of Sharjah.
